Khuda ki Basti

At the center of the cosmopolitan city of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, lies a town where people live on their hopes they sleep, eat and hide there. They work in the world’s most grandeur city Dubai. They work as labors building the world largest and most astonishing monuments and buildings. Their lowly wages are unpaid for more than 12 months. They can hardly afford 2 decent meals a day but they are still supporting their families back in there own country. They are forced to live on terraces thanks to the rising cost of living. They are scared that any moment they can end up in Jail if caught by the local police. There only hope is in God, who is somehow keeping them sustained. The open skies and stars tell them maybe someday things would change for the better. Until death comes, it’s a good fight that you have to struggle with. It’s the survival of the not so fittest. Welcome to Khuda ki Basti, the town of god.
